An activist club dedicated to creating and cultivating inclusive theatre

WHO WE ARE
McMaster Activist Theatre is a contemporary theatre club affiliated with McMaster University. Our goal is to foster representation in theatre for people of colour and members of the LGBTQ+ community, and to subvert dominant stereotypes imposed upon women, trans, and non-binary individuals in the theatre community. We aim to provide roles as directors, designers, crew, and actors in theatrical productions at McMaster University, but the club will also act as an advisor for any McMaster student society in need of workshops, assistance, or guidance in the creation and production of theatre. McMaster Activist Theatre is the only contemporary theatre club at the university specializing in social and political activism through theatre-making.
